Gentle Exercise for Over 60's 11.00am – 12.00 noon TRINITY ROOM
Seated exercise classes, including exercise to music and gentle pilates – a great way to improve your strength, flexibility, balance and feel good at the same time! If you are aged over 60 years old or living with long term health conditions and interested in a gentle approach to exercise, then this relaxed and friendly class is for you. £3.00 a class. National 5. ESOL Classes 12.30 – 3.30pm LINKS ROOM
Re-starts week beginning 21st August. National 5. level English classes run by Edinburgh College. This course is appropriate if you want to improve your English for work or further vocational study in the UK. The course aims to develop your reading, writing, listening and speaking skills for everyday life and in work contexts leading to the SQA National 5 ESOL award. Leith Scottish Women’s Institute (SWI) 7.00 – 9.00pm 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month LINKS ROOM
The Leith Institute (formed in 2013) of the National Scottish Women’s Institute which celebrates it’s centenary in 2017. We have a small core groups of about 15 members and other ‘pay as you go’ members who drop in. We meet for a variety of different activities (something different every time). We do a lot of crafts such as knitting, quilling, felting, card making and we’ve also had different demonstrations and workshops such as Bollywood dancing, fruit carving, sugar icing and upcycling and we also love any activities involving food including trying herbal teas, making truffles, chocolate tasting and a health food night.
